For us at Alfa Laval, we’ve been focusing a lot on working
with application development.
We’ve been focusing on the traditional fuels,
where we have the Adaptive Fuel Line,
to make it smarter,
to optimize it even further.
We will continue to develop that,
but we also look into the future.
We’ve been working a lot on the decarbonization
in the marine industry,
which is then for the methanol and also for the LPG.
Here we’ve gained a lot of experience,
knowledge, over the last year.
We’re now ready to even take it to the next level.
With this in mind, it is also very natural
to work on the next step,
which is ammonia.
In ammonia, we are currently working
with two different initiatives:
ammonia acid and also ammonia fuel.
These are initiatives in which we work with other key
players in the marine industry,
to make sure that it’s safe and easy to handle
the ammonia on board,
and also the feed to the engine.
Today we have very long experience
and a strong engineering team
– that means that we can contribute a lot to this.
So, we’re really excited and looking forward
to taking this to the next step.
