There are a lot of challenges to be discussed in 2020.
In the dialogue with our customers,
there’s a growing urgency about the
IMO revised G8 guidelines,
or the BWMS Code, as it’s named.
The revised G8 enforcement is six months away.
On October 28, 2020, systems without
a revised G8 certificate in place
can no longer be installed on vessels
with international trade.
Otherwise, they can’t operate in more than
90% of the world’s ports
– which will have a huge implication for their business.
Everyone understands that the certificate
is a ticket to trade.
But what everyone struggles with right now
is finding transparent information about the performance
and the limitations of the certificate,
to be able to compare that with
their actual areas of trade
and port calls.
Therefore, Alfa Laval has developed a tool
to facilitate this whole process,
to give you as a customer transparent information.
PureBallast 3 is revised G8 certified,
and with that we have gained a lot of
knowledge and insight.
So please get in touch with us to find out more information
and get help to come through this process.
